In that same vein...
I agree with Morgan Shepherd on his disdain for black history month for the same reasons he cites. If you haven't seen the 60 Minutes clip where he puts Mike Wallace on defense during the interview, it's worth watching just to see ole Mike being the one flustered for a change.
Anyway, all during the month of February, the Gen Y snots previously mentioned are in charge of sending out touchy feely emails all month highlighting people who epitomize, not the accomplishments of noteworthy black people, but being a victim in one form or another that gave them their 15 minutes of fame.
I decided to send the head Gen Y snot a couple of recommendations for candidates to feature who actually were noteworthy by anyone's measure and should have at least had a documentary made about them if not a feature film. (links below)
As expected, no reply, and the end of the month has passed and no sign of either of them being mentioned.
In his famous speech, MLK said, "I dream of a day when my children will be judged, not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."
I find it quite ironic that the opposite is now being celebrated.

LeVar Burton and Courtney Vance should play the parts. You'll see why when you see their pics.
It seems there is a biopic film on Smalls in the works, but a release date has not been set. The title is "Steal Away".
